Considering an exciting and rewarding career as a technician but not sure how to get started? The ‘Think Big About Your Future’ Cat® dealer prep program that Riggs Cat offers will help you meet the challenge by providing training in the specific needs of Riggs CAT and Caterpillar.

Think big about your future
  • You will develop valuable, in-demand diagnostic, service and maintenance skills for hard-working Cat® machinery such as:
    • Construction equipment
    • Heavy diesel engines
    • Material handling equipment
    • All types of commercial engines
  • Think Big is a cooperative two-year, six semester, college level technician education program, which leads to an Associate in Applied Science degree with a major in Caterpillar Service Technology.
  • The purpose of the program is to upgrade the technical competency and professional level of incoming Cat Dealership service technicians. It will train Cat Dealer Prep students to analytically diagnose, service, and maintain Caterpillar products using recommended procedures, special tools, and service information. It will provide course content that will enable successful graduates to advance in positions after additional experience, and to understand new systems and components as they are introduced.
